By Forbes’ estimation, Kylie Cosmetics is worth $900 million. That, plus the cash she has amassed from the business, gets her the Billionaire status.
Kardashian West is worth an estimated $350 million and is next-wealthiest of the Kardashian-Jenner.
Forbes’ statement calling Kylie “self-made” has received criticism saying that she was born into wealth and privilege. She responded saying, ” The self-made thing is true” and that her parents “cut her off at the age of 15.”
Jenner, 21, has built up a cosmetics empire, starred in “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” and her spin-off show “Life of Kylie,” found a clothing line with her sister and made millions doing promotions on Instagram.

Forbes estimated that Jenner’s company, Kylie Cosmetics, is worth $900 million. With the cash she’s already pulled in from the business, that brings her to billionaire status, Forbes said.
Jenner’s first job was on the reality TV show “Keeping Up With The Kardashians.” She was nine years old when the first episode aired, and the show is now set to air its 16th season.
The family collectively earns about $30 million per season of the show, according to their most recent contract, but it’s unclear exactly how much each member makes.

Jenner also briefly starred in her own spin-off show, “Life of Kylie,” in 2017.
In 2013, when Jenner was 15, she and her sister, Kendall, launched a clothing line called Kendall + Kylie for PacSun.
The brand has since expanded to be sold wholesale to 390 locations in the US, including Nordstrom, Topshop, Amazon, and Bloomingdale’s, and 975 worldwide.
Jenner makes the bulk of her fortune through the company she owns and runs, Kylie Cosmetics.
The company initially launched as Kylie Lip Kits, not long after Jenner admitted to getting “temporary lip fillers,” in 2015.
The company sold more than $630 million worth of makeup in its first two years, including an estimated $330 million in 2017.

In 2018, the company’s revenue grew 9% to an estimated $360 million, partially thanks to an exclusive distribution detail with beauty retailer Ulta.

Much of Jenner’s work on Kylie Cosmetics happens on social media. She frequently promotes the brand on her personal Instagram account, where she has more than 128 million followers.
“Social media is an amazing platform,” Jenner, who has 128 million followers on Instagram, told Forbes. “I have such easy access to my fans and my customers.”
Jenner became a billionaire at a younger age than Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who was 23 when he hit that mark.
