Based on a book of the same name, it stars the always charming Henry Cavill (obviously) as a monster hunter named Geralt of Rivia. Freya Allan as Cintran princess Ciri and Anya Chalotra as sorceress Yennefer are the other two main leads.

Set in an entirely different fantasy world known as the Continent, it follows the story of these main characters and how their fate is connected to each other.

Furthermore, the culture of the Continent is a mix of fancy elements from the Renaissance and the Middle Age. Season one consisted of a total of eight episodes. It was released on the 20th of December 2020 on Netflix.

Here’s How Henry Chopped Up Eight Guys In One Scene!

In the show, Henry plays a Geralt, who is a monster hunter with magical eyes, gigantic arms and brawny charisma! As a travelling monster hunter for hire he’s struggling to find his place in a world where more than often people are wicked than beasts.

The very first episode of season one, titled “The End’s Beginning” features a scene in which Geralt chopped eight guys. He does so, without a single cut. If you’re wondering how all of that looked so effortless, Henry Cavill himself is going to explain it to you!

In this six and a half minute long video, he explains the whole scene shot by shot. He revealed why using a shortened sword works the best. It enables him to swing it through enemies without actually murdering anybody.

He says “The difficulty is, we all have to perform like the sword is full-length, rather than half-length. When you’re moving at full speed, and your adrenaline is up, and you’re doing take after take, sometimes that can be tricky.”

Also, he further reveals a camera trick too! After watching this video, you might want to re-watch episode one’s fight again to understand everything clearly!
