We can expect Jane and Lily back again for the final season of the Netflix original ‘Grace and Frankie’. This is going to be Netflix’s longest-running original ever. In September 2019 ‘Variety’ reported that season 7 would 16 episodes, bringing the series’ total to 94 since the premiere in 2015. Let’s have a look at what we can expect from the final season of these two lovable characters.
Release Date
As season 6 just aired, we hope for the last iteration to be released around early 2021 at the latest. In the past, we have observed a minimum of a 1-year gap between consecutive seasons.
Cast
This is the last season of the show, so no new major characters are being introduced this late in the series. The whole cast will be returning for the series finale. These include the major characters Grace Skolka (Jane Fonda), Frances “Frankie” Bergstein (Lily Tomlin), Sol Bergstein (Sam Waterston) and Robert Hanson (Martin Sheen). We also have their kids Mallory (Brooklyn Decker), Brianna (June Diane Raphael), Bud (Baron Vaughn), Coyote (Ethan Embry).
What are we expecting?
The season will catch up and follow the story of Grace and Frankie from where they left in season 6. After making up with each other which followed their Shark Tank fiasco and finding a jackpot ($50,000) under Nick’s sofa, they both head to the beach where they plan their next step. There they find Robert and Sol (their ex-husbands) sitting in their chairs. They both explain Grace and Frankie the disaster of “The Rise Up” toilet.
Grace and Frankie agree to host them until fixing their (Robert and Sol) house is complete. This sets up Season 7 for the show. Both Grae and Frankie now have to adapt to living with their former husbands again for the first time in years.
Trailer
A report from the THR news channel will cover your basic questions about any remaining questions. This also includes a message from Jane and Lily about their experience with the show.
