The darker version of “Grace and & Frankie”, Dead to Me is set to return to Netflix in 2020 after a blockbuster first season that ended on a tantalising cliffhanger.
What’s The Cast?
Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini will co-star again. Could James Marsden be back? Will anyone else be back? We’re not sure yet, but, Detective Ana Perez is likely to feature prominently. We expect Diana-Maria Riva to reprise the role. Natalie Morales (Parks and Recreation) joins the cast.
Where Do We Go Now? (Spoilers Ahead!)
Is Steve dead? Who killed him? Is the smoking gun proof of Jen’s guilt? Is Judy pregnant? The perfectly frustrating cliffhanger has set up season 2 nicely. The show’s incredible drama and Blaise approach to murder set up some riveting moments. An extra helping of paranoia and desperation awaits fans.
According to producer Liz Feldman;
“It will be about the further exploration of this friendship, and relationship, and now very complicated dynamic, or even more complicated dynamic between these two women”
What’s New?
We think the season will have similar twists and turns. A bait-and-switch would be keeping in character with the show so far. Expect big revelations and more darkness.
“There’s an evening of the score and there’s a rebalancing that will take place and almost, in some ways, a role reversal,” Feldman said. “This show will always be a show that explores the dark sides and the light sides of grief, loss, forgiveness and friendship. So suffice to say, there will be more darkness.
We believe that there’s a ton of intrigue and drama still to come from this dramedy. We do hope to see more about the women and their complicated, often fraught, dynamic.
There’s no trailer out yet but we will keep this space updated in case we hear anything more about it.
