Indiana Jones 5 Hilarious Expectations For Release Date, Latest Update, New [CAST] & Many More

Indiana Jones 5 is the latest instalment of the popular Indiana Jones franchise, which began with Best Picture nominee Raiders of the Lost Ark in 1981. Presumably, this will be the final adventure for Harrison Ford as the character, though it’s unknown if Indy 5 will pave the way for a new lead actor to take over for future instalments. Steven Spielberg, who helmed the previous four movies in the series, will once again call the shots.

Expected Release Date:

With all the changes, the release date was bound to suffer. Initially, Indiana Jones 5 was supposed to be in cinemas in July 2019. As you’ll notice, this date has passed and… well, no Indy 5.

The date was shifted back to July 10, 2020, but even that didn’t stick. Disney pushed the release back again, by another year once again. The official release date is currently July 9, 2021.

New Cast:

It will be no shock whatsoever to hear that Harrison Ford, the man synonymous with the role, will be back in the hat one more time.

Producer Frank Marshall clearly stated that the role would not be recast for the new movie. That’s lucky, as Ford has said that no-one else can play Indiana Jones apart from him: “When I’m gone, he’s gone. It’s easy.

The much-loved Sallah, who first appeared in Raiders of the Lost Ark. And then again in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, will be seen in this movie.

Latest Updates And More:

We know that this movie will take place after Crystal Skull and feature. As you would imagine, an older Dr Jones. Ford commented on revisiting the character later in life, saying: “It’s interesting to see it in a different light. It will be fun and a good thing to do.”

It’s been 12 years since the last Indy outing. So, if the film follows this too (Crystal Skull took place in 1957), it will take place during the 1960s, one of America’s most turbulent – if slightly brilliant for movie nostalgia – decades.

In fact, if they go for 12 years then it’ll fall on the very year that a man first stepped on the moon.
