Season 6 of the hit TV show ‘The 100’ has finished airing in August 2019. And we are eagerly waiting for the news of a 7th season. Jason Rothenberg is the famed developer of this series.
An American sci-fi drama TV series, ‘The 100’ is based on the idea of nuclear activity. After 90 years of a nuclear attack, the civilization is destroyed and at the brink of extinction. Due to this, all the survivors fled the Earth in a giant space station named “Ark”. With the hope of repopulating the planet, humanity’s lone survivors send one hundred juvenile to the surface.
Let’s take a look at what’s in store for season 7.
On April 24, 2019, the CW made a statement to come back with the seventh season. In August 2019, the maker announced that the seventh season will be the final season consisting of a total of 16 episodes. The makers have smartly decided to wrap up the show with a total of 100 episodes across the whole series. However, an official date for season 7 is not released yet.
Eliza Taylor (Clarke Griffin)will return as the lead. Marie Avgeropoulos (Octavia Blake), Bob Morley (Bellamy Blake) and Lindsey Morgan (director for season 7)(Raven Reyes) will be joining Clark in the show.
However, original stars Henry Ian Cusick (Marcus Kane)and Paige Turco (Abby Griffin) will not be returning following their characters’ deaths in season 6. Shannon Kook will also be back for sure.
The story will surely follow the ends of season 6. Season 7 will focus on The Anomaly. Rothenberg confirmed this himself to ‘TVLine’. He also added that there won’t be any time-travel.
“That reveal is mind-blowing,” Rothenberg said. “The fact that Hope is now in her early twenties when three days ago she was a fetus, does begin to imply some things about the Anomaly and about where we’re going.”
Where was Jordan?
We can argue that Priya was taking care of Jordan after she saved him from being killed by The Primes. So he will return healthy in the final season. And yes, this is the finale season. So be ready to say bye-bye to your favourite, irresponsible, juvenile, good-looking bunch of people.
As far as the trailer is concerned, the producers are still working on the show. So no trailer is available as of now.
