Detective Pikachu is an urban mystery film 2019 which was directed by Rob Letterman. It was one of the many surprises of 2019. It had a Mixture of self-referential and acid humour, along with Ryan Reynolds as the voice actor of Pikachu himself, which helped the film manage to raise over 400,000,000$. Although it wasn’t as good as the fans wanted it to be, it was kind enough to make the fans happy and be a good movie.
It was quite surprising when Warner, without even have released the first film, confirmed and officially announced that a sequel would be released. The fans who were waiting for the first movie to be released were shocked to hear that the second film has been going on for two months under their noses.
Release date
Though a new sequel has already been announced and confirmed before the first movie, they have not given us any information regarding the release of the same. But, we are sure and can confirm that the film will not release in 2020. If we are lucky, we can see the sequel at around late 2021. But we think that the film will come near 2022. Our guess is also based on some assumptions. This is of course because the first movie has not even released, so it very hard to predict when the time to the next video is so long.
