Introduced in the 1980s, Indiana Jones franchise has thrilled the audience 4 times already bringing nearly $2 Billion at the global box office with its prior instalments of the very same series. And they are all gloomed to release another blockbuster, Indiana Jones 5.

Is it renewed or cancelled
The movie indeed has been renewed for a fifth instalment, Indiana Jones 5. Starring Harrison Ford the movie is in its early stages of production.
Indiana Jones 5, which was previously announced in the year of 2016 and was speculated to be released on 19th July 2019. But due to scheduling issues the release date has been pushed forward for more than once now. The next speculated release date is somewhere in 2021.

Chicago born American actor, aviator and environmentalist Harrison Ford, who is best known for playing charismatic rogues in the Star Wars and Indiana Jones film franchises, earlier said in an interview that the film is dealing with scheduling issues and the script also needs some last touches.
Also come to our attention that Steven Spielberg, who has been handling the directing of Indiana Jones franchise for the last 39 years has passed the directing rights to another director. Deputing the entertainment world for the first time with its first instalment Indiana Jones was released on 10th December 1981. While the deal has not been confirmed yet it is speculated that director James Mangold is willing to take the directing rights for the fifth instalment.
Although not a lot has been confirmed by the movie yet it prospects that the movie will be based on the adventures of the fictional professor of archaeology, Dr Henry Walton “Indiana” Jones.
