Release Date

Owing to its huge popularity, Netflix immediately renewed the show for Season 5 way back in June 2019. There were rumors that Season 5 might be the final season. However, that isn’t the case as Netflix is considering extending the series for the sixth season as well. Although, there has NO official announcement regarding the release date for Season 5. It is expected that the fifth season will premiere by the end of 2020.

Plot

Season 4 lived up to everyone’s expectations and presented 10 episodes of devilish fun. However, the show ended on a major cliffhanger. Lucifer and his team foiled Kinley’s end of the world prophecy and banished all invading demons back to hell. Chloe thought that everything was finally over. However, that wasn’t the case.

After an eventful final episode, Lucifer bid farewell to his first love and left Chloe behind. The demons know that Lucifer has zero plans of returning to the underworld and Lucifer knows this as well. Knowing that this will put Chloe at risk again, Lucifer decides to return to the underworld to stop this from happening again.

Though it may seem conclusive, Lucifer will find a way to return to Earth once again. Lucifer finally managed to confess his love for Chloe at the end of season 5. Therefore, there will be a slightly different feel about them as we go into season 5.
