Created by Amy Sherman-Palladino, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel debuted on Amazon Prime Video in 2017. The American comedy-drama series has been a huge success since its release. It has gone on to win the Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy in 2017 and the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series in 2018.

Set in the late 1950s, the show revolves around a woman who has everything she wants. A perfect husband, two sweet kids, and an elegant apartment in New York City. However, her life completely changes when she discovers she has a hidden talent which he has never known about. She discovers that she has the ability to be a fine stand up comedian. She endorses this talent which takes her from NYC and puts her on a journey through the city’s comedy industry.

With an IMDb rating of 8.7/10 and the Tomatometer at 89%, the show has been a smash hit. The show has been airing for three consecutive seasons and now the fans are desperately waiting for Season 4.

Release Date

Since its release, the show has managed to keep a steady rating followed by decent viewership. Amazon officially renewed the show for season 4 in December 2019. However, there has been NO official announcement regarding the release date for season four. Season 3 was released in December 2019. Therefore, the fourth season is expected to release by December 2020. However, the outbreak of the coronavirus has brought every production to halt. Hence, the fourth season might be postponed to early 2021.


The show revolves around Miriam “Midge” Maisel who has the perfect idyllic life every woman wants. However, when she discovers her hidden talent for stand-up comedy, her idyllic life changes completely. This talent of her puts her on a path that could lead to a spot on the Tonight Show couch.
