In 2013, the world was introduced to the first family of the prehistoric era, The Croods. It is an Academy Award-nominated comedy about a clan dealing with their changing world captivated global audiences and reminding us of the timeless importance of family…and just how little we’ve evolved. The movie conveys its message in a beautiful satirical way.
In December 2020, DreamWorks Animation is going on an all-new adventure back in time with THE CROODS 2. Returning with stars Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds, Catherine Keener, Cloris Leachman, and Clark Duke. They have also welcomed Leslie Mann and Peter Dinklage to the film’s cast. The story proceeds as The Croods face their biggest threat since leaving the cave: another family. The film is directed by Joel Crawford and produced by Mark Swift.
THE CROODS 2 will be released by Universal Pictures on 23rd December 2020, in the United States.
Release Date, Cast, Plot, IMDb, Spoilers, And All Other Updates.
As we said before, the movie is all set to be released in December 2020. Because of being an animation film, there is less possibility of it getting delayed because of the pandemic.
Talking about the cast, the voice cast has changed a bit, but we are sure that’s not going to affect how entertaining The Croods movies are and the message they convey. So, the cast is as follows:
Nicolas Cage Grug — Papa Crood
Catherine Keener as Ugga — Mama Crood
Emma Stone as Eep Crood
Ryan Reynolds as Guy
Chris Sanders as Belt
Clarke Duke as Thunk Crood
Cloris Leachman as Gran
Randy Thom as Sandy Crood
Leslie Mann as the mother in a rival household
And Kelly Marie Tran as Dawn, the rival family.
The Croods is put at a prehistoric literary age, “The Croodaceous” (the pun, Cretaceous, Croodaceous), and contains fictional monsters too. It all starts when a caveman Papa Crood has his residence and his standing as the Leader of the Hunt in danger when a fresh individual reveals promises of an exotic land as they look for a new apartment. The movie also touches we see in life teenage rebellion, amongst others. The Croods is a household ride that leaves you.
How Did The Croods Die? Why Should You Watch Croods 2?
Like so many of its predecessors, The Croods feels a need to string viewers along through a fake-out death sequence — two, actually, with dad sacrificing himself for the family before heading into his cave to die, and then escaping from that, only to fall to his death anyway seemingly.
Croods 2 is a fantastic movie, and it’s not just for kids, but it gives a message that a lot of adults need to hear, how less we have evolved, and how far we still need to go.
