Four theme parks of Walt Disney World in Florida will have reduced hours from 8th September 2020. Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studio, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be closing one hour earlier every day whereas the EPCOT will close two hours before the normal time. This new timing will be for now continued up to October.
Due to coronavirus and lockdown, the parks were closed from March and opened in July. To maintain safety measures, the operation capacity has been reduced too. The authorities have requested the visitors coming to the parks to wear masks and follow other guidelines.
Bob Chapek, CEO of Walt Disney, and Christine McCarthy, CFOs of the company has stated that there have been many cancellations during the time Covid-19 was rising. The loss is more than they presumed, the CEO and the CFO said. Disney reported a 3.5 billion dollars hit to the division of theme parks.
