‘Tenet’ seems to be the most profitable film this weekend after releasing on last Friday. In just two days, it earned $20.5 million in China. It also released globally this weekend and attracted a lot of viewers. In the US, many theaters have just opened on this weekend after a long closure due to pandemic. The viewers eagerly waited for this sci-fi movie. The Christopher Nolan movie earned $150 million globally. The movie earned $20.2 million in the US on the Labor Day weekend. Besides, it earned another $78.3 million in the overseas market. After the pandemic situation, the business of ‘Tenet’ is showing a new ray of hope to the entertainment world.

On the opening weekend, ‘The New Mutants’ earned $7 million.‘Tenet’s amount of earning has a hell and heaven difference with that of ‘The New Mutants’. In the new normal world, only 62 per cent of theaters were opened in the USA this weekend. The numbers of moviegoers are too low because of the new rules. So, it could not beat Warner Bros’ ‘Tenet’ in competition. But it is expected that more theaters will open from the next weekend. The makers are waiting for further improvement of the scenario.

Walt Disney’s ‘Mulan’ earned $5.9 million after an overseas release this weekend. There is a big setback for X-Men though. It is very poorly reviewed and earned only $800,000 on Friday. On Labor Day weekend, it earned around $3 million. ‘Unhinged’, the story of a psychopath, failed to attract the viewers much. In this pandemic situation, it has earned $475,000 on Friday and nearly $2 million on the weekend. The Reeves and Alex starring sci-fi comedy movie Bill & Ted Face the Music earned $610,000 on this weekend.
