Plotline

Hitpig, produced by UK animation company Aniventure, follows the story of a  “grizzled porcine bounty hunter” on his mission to capture “a naive, ebullient elephant” named Pickles, who escaped from a trillionaire. The pair end up in a whirlwind adventurous journey across the globe in a futuristic world, and their experiences together helps them grow as characters.

The two main characters are based off of American cartoonist and children’s book author Berkley Breathed’s picture book: Pete & Pickles. Berkley is also the screenwriter, and is one of the character designers of the movie. Talking about the cast, especially about Lilly and Peter in the main roles, he said contentedly, “They’ll bring heartfelt, hilarious performances to our lead characters and deliver the message and theme I had intended when I conceived the story, the hope that unexpected connection can deliver in our disconnected lives. I’m in humbled awe of our entire crew and the endless reserves of ingenuity that they’re bringing to this movie.”
