Matt Damon’s upcoming Historical Thriller ‘The Last Duel’ Gets October, 2021 Release Date

The Last Duel is a historical thriller drama which is adapted from Jager’s novel The Last Duel: A True Story of Trial by Combat in Medieval France. The movie is directed by Ridley Scott. The film is set in medieval France.

Ben Affleck, Nicole Holofcener, and Matt Damon are the writers of the film.

The film is set in 14th century in France. The film revolves around two best friends, Jacques Le Gris and Jean de Carrouges who happen to have a fight between them.

The fight happens when Gris has a severe accusation of raping the wife of Carrouges, Marguerite. This issue was then taken to the King of France. Gris was found to be not guilty. Jean de Carrouges appeals to the King as no one believes Marguerite.

There is a lot more to know about the story and we will have to wait until the movie is released.

When is The Film Releasing?

Initially, the film was set to be released on 25th December. But due to the corona pandemic, this is not happening.

According to the recent announcement, the movie is set to release on 15th October 2021, worldwide.

The film casts Matt Damon as Jean de Carrouges, Adam Driver as Jacques Le Gris, Jodie Comer as Marguerite de Carrouges, Ben Affleck as King Charles VI, , Nathaniel Parker as Sir Robert D’Thibouville,Harriet Walter as Nicole de Buchard Sam Hazeldine as Thomin du Bois, and Michael McElhatton as Bernard Latour.

The cast is quite appealing and fans are eagerly waiting to watch the historical drama.
