The American animated TV series starring the ‘voices’ of Zach Callison and Estelle. Steven Quartz the main character of our show is a kind-hearted, optimistic, carefree and funny young man. He’s the only child of George and Rose Quartz. Our hero has a sweetheart and is very resourceful.
The Great Diamond Authority revolves around ‘establishing peace and manner across the galaxy’. He was supposed to carry the legacy of his mother, Rose Quartz, a great warrior and mother. Initially Rose overshadowed Steven but soon Jr. Quartz outgrew his mother and surpassed her achievements and proved to be very resourceful.
WHAT IT IS LIKE TO BE STEVEN?
Well, we’re not hooking up over a ‘handsome hunk’ looking protagonist our Steven is rather young and cute. Steven has begun to struggle with his own self-identity and faced a crisis with the same for what he wants to do with the rest of his life. He started coming to terms with suppressed trauma that he has built over the course of his years of actions and near-death experiences with Gems.
Being half gem-half human it is never an easy struggle in the whole big universe, but Steven with his wit and charm manages. Steven is all about protecting humanity from attacks, walking footprints of his mother.
PERSONALITY
We weren’t expecting Steven to do something with ‘art and rhythm’ but it looks like he is really attracted to the music, one thing he adopted and inherited from his father. Maybe a little naïve, towards the beginning, he is socially not very much involved. One thing we must take note of is Steven will go out of his way to protect those he really loves, even if he has to put his life at stake for the same.
We rarely see him holding any grudges with anyone and barely holds prejudices or stereotypes against people. So if you spill his coffee, he will probably smile and forgive your irresponsible ass!
Steven looks up to his caretakers — Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl — and considers them family. He wishes to be a great hero just like them and is very eager to go on adventures with the three
Low-key Steven is somewhat disappointed in himself for not being as good as his mother and not completely validating her reputation.
