About Slime Season 2
Due to its long name, the show sounds absurd. However, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is one of the funniest shows. The first season of the show debuted in 2018 based on a light novel of the same name. This light novel series was created by Fuse.
The novel series took place from 2013 – 2016, until the anime was created in 2018. The show has 30 episodes in its first season, each funnier than the next.
The show follows the life of the relatively boring guy Satoru Mikami. He is average in every way, doesn’t even have a girlfriend yet he is surprisingly okay with all this. One day his life changes forever. While working at his corporate job someone attacks him. We see Satoru die while he hears strange voices.
When Satoru opens his eyes – we see that he has been reincarnated as a slime. Funny, isn’t it? That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is a strange show indeed.
He finds that he has new powers and he can devour anything. He also befriends a misunderstood but powerful dragon who gives him the name – Rimuru Tempest. As he is finally free he tries to prove himself to the world and soon his fate changes once again.
Slime Season 2 release date
Slime Season 2 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime was supposed to premiere in 2020. However, due to the COVID19 pandemic, it got delayed to January. The first episode came out on 12th January amidst a lot of fanfare and applause.
Slime Season 2 episode 2 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime will release on 19th January 2021. The episode is named ‘Trade with the Animal Kingdom’. What we can expect from the episode is a mystery, but it is sure to be a good time for all.
Currently in the season, Rimuru Tempest has become the king of a nation of monsters and completes small quests here and there. Perhaps, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime season 2 episode 2 will see him on another quest.
