Black Panther 2 Release Date Confirmed for July 8, 2022, Plot & More

A theatrical release for Black Panther 2 has already been scheduled. In the USA, the film is due to be released on July 8th, 2022. Let’s find more about black panther 2.

Film plot and background

In the sequel to “Black Panther”, the kingdom of Wakanda will be led into a new era after “Avengers: Endgame”.

With ” Black Panther ” Marvel delivered the surprise hit of 2018. Even in advance sales, Ryan Coogler‘s superhero film broke records and finally landed at number 9 among the world’s most successful films. No wonder Marvel boss Kevin Feige announced a sequel soon.

After the surprising death of the main actor Chadwick Boseman at the end of August 2020, it has long been questionable how the sequel should be designed without the title hero. Coogler, Marvel producers, and companions of Boseman decided not to cast the role again, but to honor the legacy of Chadwick Boseman through the wondrous kingdom of Wakanda and its inhabitants in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” and to illuminate more closely.

“Black Panther 2” – Backgrounds

What’s next for King T’Challa aka Black Panther  ( Chadwick Boseman )  and the formerly isolated Wakanda? After the highly developed African kingdom had long been isolated from the rest of the world in order to guard the vibranium, T’Challa lifted the veil at the end of “Black Panther”. The price was great – T’Challa not only had to unite the quarreling tribes. In ” Avengers: Infinity War ” Wakanda becomes the main scene of the battles against Thanos. Large parts of the country were devastated.

What exactly awaits us in “Black Panther 2” after the outcome of “ Avengers 4: Endgame ” is still unclear. There are currently many unanswered questions in the room: Will the Dora Milaje around Okoye ( Danai Gurira ) and the other tribes recover from the losses of the Infinity War? What happens to T’challa, Shuri ( Letitia Wright ), Nakia ( Lupita Nyong’o ), Ramonda ( Angela Bassett ), M’Baku ( Winston Duke ), and the other iconic residents of Wakanda after the true identity of the progressive Country was revealed to the world? And how will Wakanda protect its greatest treasure, the vibranium, from abuse in the future?

“Black Panther 2” cast

Director and screenwriter Ryan Coogler (” Creed – Rocky’s Legacy “) had to find a new route for the sequel after the unexpected death of Chadwick Boseman due to cancer in August 2020. Instead of re-casting the character, the sequel focuses on the other iconic characters in Wakanda.

It is therefore certain that there will be a reunion with stars like Angela Bassett, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, and Martin Freeman. It is not yet clear in which environment the film will take place, which villain is now in turn and what the other cast will look like.
