Via Deadline they report that rapper and actor Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson (‘Escape Plan’) will develop for G-Unit Film & Television together with Color Farm Media a live-action film based on the Christopher Priest comic, ‘xer’. The idea is that this is the first installment of a new action franchise. The film will follow a government assassin who uses invisibility as a weapon by disguising himself as a black man as a white man to blend anonymously into the exotic locales of the international elite’s Casino Royale. Spanning the chasm between that and the private streets of East St. Louis, Illinois, Trane Walker is a man who lives in two worlds but owns neither. Xer tells the story of his moral awakening and the life and death dangers he presents. “No one better than Christopher Priest to bring G-Unit Film & Television into the world of comic book superheroes,” said Jackson. “Watching Xer become a franchise together with Christopher and Color Farm Media. I can’t wait for the world to meet Trane Walker in a whole new way.” Jackson is an actor, producer, rapper, and entrepreneur who founded G-Unit Film & Television in 2005. Among other jobs, he has executive produced, directed, and co-starred in the hit Starz series ‘Power.’
