Will Smith and Michael B. Jordan will star in the sequel to ‘I Am Legend’

Seven and a half years later, the sequel to ‘I am a legend’ is back on the table. According to Deadline, the project has been reborn from the ashes, and it has done so with Will Smith again leading its cast alongside Michael B. Jordan. In addition, both actors will also produce it for Warner Bros. through their respective companies, Westbrook Studios and Outlier Society, along with their respective partners, Jon Mon and Elizabeth Raposo. For his part, Akiva Goldsman, screenwriter of the original film, will also be in charge of developing the first version of his script, in addition to producing it with his partner Greg Lessans through his own company, Weed Road Pictures. Who seems not to return will be the director Francis Lawrence, being that the project for now does not have any director associated with it. Recall that the 2007 film was loosely inspired by Richard Matheson’s novel of the same title, which revolved around Robert Neville, the last surviving human being in what remains of New York City… and perhaps in the entire world. . But he is not alone. He is surrounded by “the infected”, victims of a plague that has turned the human race into a kind of vampires that can only exist in darkness and devour everything that crosses their path. More specific details of this sequel, which is in its early stages of development, are unknown for now, and therefore, in principle, cannot be expected for the immediate future.
