Apple announces the cast of the 2nd season of ‘The Afterparty’

Apple has announced that along with Tiffany Haddish, Sam Richardson and Zoë Chao will also return to the cast of the second season of ‘The Afterparty‘. A second season that this time will take place during a wedding in which obviously someone will die. Detective Danner (Tiffany Haddish) will once again be in charge of solving the case, and at the moment we don’t know if Richardson and Chao will be the couple or two of the guests. At the moment we also do not know what roles the other members of a cast that will also include Zach Woods, Elizabeth Perkins, Poppy Liu, Paul Walter Hauser, Anna Konkle, Jack Whitehall and Vivian Wu will play. Created, written and directed by Chris Miller, this is a comedy murder mystery series that defies genres. Each episode explores a different character’s story, all through the lens of various film genres and using unique visual effects that highlight each narrator’s perspective. In addition to directing its eight episodes, Miller also served as showrunner and executive producer for its terrific first season alongside his partner, Phil Lord, through their company, Lord Miller. Tony and Emmy nominated writer, producer and actor Anthony King (“Search Party”) is also an executive producer. The series is produced for Apple by TriStar Television and Sony Pictures Television, and is part of the multinational’s extensive five-year television deal with Lord and Miller. In the absence of further details, Miller is expected to return to the helm of this 2nd season as a writer, showrunner and director.
