Grants for the CDTI Science and Innovation Missions Program – 2022

The call has recently been opened for the Grants for the Program of Missions in Science and Innovation of the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI). The grants will finance pre-competitive research projects, led by companies that pursue relevant research that proposes solutions to transversal and strategic challenges, improve the knowledge and technology base on which Spanish companies rely to compete, while stimulating public cooperation. -private.
SUBSIDIZABLE PROJECTS

The eligible projects will be Industrial Research or Experimental Development projects that must fit into one of the following strategic missions: Strengthen technological capacities for safe and sustainable energy autonomy (fusion, hydrogen and renewables) Promote Spanish industry in the industrial revolution of the 21st century Impulse of a more sustainable agri-food sector adapted to the new conditions associated with climate change thanks to the relevant use of advanced biotechnological tools. Promoting application technologies in the naval sector that improve its competitiveness in the 21st century. Promotion of the substitution, recovery and valuation of mineral resources and strategic materials for the Ecological Transition. Development and strengthening of an integrated photonics ecosystem in Spain. The projects presented must fall into one of the following categories: “Large Companies” Missions: each group must be made up of a minimum of three and a maximum of eight companies; at least two of them must be autonomous from each other. “PYMES” missions: each group must be made up of a minimum of three and a maximum of six companies; at least two of them must be autonomous from each other.

CONDITIONS TO BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAM

Minimum eligible budget:“Large Companies” Mission: between 4,000,000 and 15,000,000 euros “SMEs” Mission: between 1,500,000 and 3,000,000 euros
Weight of industrial research activities: “Large Companies” Mission: the percentage in the eligible budget must be at least 60%. “PYMES” Mission: the percentage in the eligible budget must be at least 35%. The projects must have a relevant participation of research organizations from the qualitative and quantitative point of view. It is required that at least 15% of the eligible budget be subcontracted to these entities.

This aid has an incentive effect, that is, it has not been possible to start the activity before requesting the aid.
ELIGIBLE EXPENSES
The following expenses may be financed: Personnel costs: researchers, technicians and other auxiliary personnel Costs of instruments and inventoriable material Costs of contractual research, technical knowledge and patents acquired or obtained by license from external sources General expenses and other additional operating expenses , including the costs of material, supplies and similar products, which derive directly from the project. The expense derived from the report made by an auditor

AID INTENSITY
Mission “Large Companies”:
Industrial Research Projects: From 50% to 65% of the costs Experimental Development Projects: From 25% to 40% of the costs

“SME” Mission:
Industrial Research Projects: From 60% to 80% of the costs Experimental Development Projects: From 35% to 60% of the costs
