With ‘A Samurai Hero: The Legend of Hank’ I see myself thinking and writing the same as with ‘Bullet Train’: Starting from the basis of a fucking “but” that I’m not very clear about what it aspires to or what it intends. The “but balls” of the bitter that nothing pleases him even though most of it can be enjoyed in some way. The one who does not settle is because he does not want to, and just like ‘Bullet Train’, ‘A Samurai Hero: The Legend of Hank’ is an enjoyable movie, just like that, without more, both for grandparents and for not so grandparents. Needless to say, an animated film like this is appreciated, which does not forget those who pay, the elderly and movie lovers, to whom under its guise of functional children’s comedy it gives many winks. Perhaps it is somewhat irregular, perhaps it lacks some spark or skill, or lacks a script that thoroughly exploits an approach that it passes over, the usual in the family consumption genre. The “but fuck”. Dog is a mostly enjoyable and endearing movie. Effective dog, satisfying dog. And with meta-referential sparks that place it above the average of mass media animation, making it, what has been said, an ideal option to entertain children and not so children. Truly “for the whole family”. Or even, as an adult, to watch with a smile in solitude without anyone suspecting that you are a child stalker. What is said is an efficient and amply compliant animation film that only pretends to be who it is with happiness, good vibes and self-confidence. What it is, just like that and besides, without a dubbing corrupted by some pseudo-famous person on the loose and in his house, which today, by all accounts, is not a joke at all.
