Tom Hanks reunites for the fourth time with the director of ‘Forrest Gump’, ‘Cast Away’ and ‘Polar Express’ to lead the cast of this blockbuster embellished with large amounts of CGI in which he plays Gepetto, the carpenter who builds and treats Pinocchio as if he were his own son. Cynthia Erivo (as the Blue Fairy) and Luke Evans (as the Coachman) complete a main cast that in its original version also features the voices of Benjamin Evan Ainsworth (as Pinocchio), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (as Jiminy Cricket), Keegan -Michael Key (as Honest John) and Lorraine Bracco (as a new character, Sofa, a seagull). This umpteenth version of Carlo Collodi’s famous story in which a wooden puppet embarks on an exciting adventure to become a real boy will be released next September 8… directly on Disney+ and without going through movie theaters .
