The wait is over: X Filme Creative Pool, ARD Degeto, Sky and Beta Film present the wonderful official trailer of the long-awaited 4 season of ‘Babylon Berlin’, the great German series created by Tom Tykwer, Achim von Borries and Henk Handloegten from the series of novels written by Volker Kutscher. The three repeat in this new season as directors, as well as as screenwriters along with Bettine von Borries and Khyana El Bitar. A fourth season that alternates up to six different plot lines and that begins on New Year’s Eve 1930. People drink and dance in bars. Far from the sewers, the owner of the Nyssen factory toasts the big shots of politics and the Reichswehr: his dream is to conquer the moon. But what the new year will bring is not written in the stars. Meanwhile, the underworld around Walter Weintraub enters a bloody war for the supremacy of the city, and the future of the Weimar Republic is decided in the streets, in the party headquarters and also in the editorial offices of the fascist press. The SA thugs, under the command of their leader Walther Stennes, demonstrate their will to power in increasingly brutal ways. Stennes’s men also declared war on the SS, which was protected by the Regierungsrat Wendt and controlled from Munich. Gereon Rath (Volker Bruch) is caught between all fronts. As his mission to free journalist Katelbach alongside the courageous Frau Behnke draws ever-widening circles, Rath finds himself in mortal danger and loses the trust of his most important ally, Charlotte Ritter (Liv Lisa Fries). Along with Bruch as Gereon Rath and Fries as Charlotte Ritter, in this new season they also repeat Benno Frmann, Lars Eidinger, Hannah Herzsprung, Christian Friedel, Udo Samel, Godehard Giese, Fritzi Haberlandt, Karl Markovics, Jrdis Triebel, Ronald Zehrfeld, Meret Becker , Hanno Koffler, Martin Wuttke, Trystan Ptter, and Saskia Rosendahl. His new cast members are Mark Ivanier, Barbara Philipp, Moisej Bazijan, Ronald Kukulies, Thomas Arnold, Lenn Kudrjawizki, Hannes Wegener and Max Raabe. The fourth season of ‘Babylon Berlin’, a production by X Filme Creative Pool, ARD Degeto Film, Beta Film and Sky Deutschland, will be released in his native Germany on October 8, without Movistar Plus+ having yet set a release date for it in our country. Its three previous seasons are currently available on the Spanish operator’s on-demand service.
