More of 200 entrepreneurs from the region have gathered at the business breakfast organized by globalboxthe leading financial institution in Castilla-La Mancha, and the Council of Chambers of Commerce of Castilla-La Manchain which the Governor of the Bank of Spain, Pablo Hernandez de Kos, on his first visit to our land. The President of Globalcaja, Carlos of the Sawhas thanked of Kos his participation in an act that he has described as “maximum interest”. And it is, he explained, due to the moment of “high uncertainty that we live in, in which it is important to listen to authorized voices and prepared to give us their vision of reality”, by the speaker, “nobody more suitable than the Governor of the Bank of Spain” and by the attendees, who “give meaning to this conference and generate wealth in our land”. Likewise, De la Sierra has valued the Globalcaja commitment model, “being close to people, companies and entrepreneurs both in good and bad times”. A closeness that, translated into facts, as highlighted by the President of the financial institution, is reflected in having “1,000 employees and more than 300 offices at the service of our clientswhich means having more than 50% of the offices in the province of Cuenca and almost 40% in Albacete and Ciudad Real; it is having granted almost 10,000 ICO operations here in our territory when it was most needed; is to contribute more than 7.5 million euros a year to the Education and Promotion Fund, and it is to promote initiatives as interesting as this one here in our land”. A collaborative vision, facing the future safely, adapting to change, putting technology at the service of people and being able to identify opportunities are the keys that, according to of the Sierra, will help us avoid “confusing a moment of uncertainty with a moment of pessimism”. For his part, the President of the Regional Council of Chambers of Commerce, Mariano Leon, has highlighted the exceptional value, especially in times as complex as the ones we are going through, of a conference like this one, led by the Governor of the Bank of Spain, “surely the voice that has the most influence and prestige among all the experts, organizations and macroeconomic observatories”. In addition, he has underlined that this initiative is part of the vocation of the Chambers of Commerce to help companies and the territory to developgiven that “the work of the Chambers of Castilla-La Mancha has been characterized by permanent contact with the Castilian-La Mancha society as a whole, especially with the productive sectors, in order to always have a close vision attached to the present that allows us to respond to the most immediate concerns and needs, and face the task that lies ahead, in a scenario now subject to significant sources of uncertainty”.
Pablo Hernandez de Kos has stated that “the European Central Bank will follow the monetary policy normalization process as long as the information available indicates that inflation could remain above the medium-term objective. The rest of the economic policies must focus on supporting the most vulnerable, applying determined reforms on the supply side, a firm commitment to fiscal sustainability and strengthening the European project”.
