Samsung will introduce autonomous suppliers to golf courses

Samsung intends to deliver meals to golf courses. To this end, he established cooperation with the startup Neubility, which designed an autonomous delivery robot called Neubie. Couriers and suppliers are getting closer to losing their job, as they will soon be driven out of the market by robots. Samsung Welstory, Samsung’s food distribution division, took the next step towards the realization of this company. He has just signed an agreement with the Neubility startup, which will allow the launch of a meal delivery service for golf courses. The task will be carried out by the autonomous supplier Neubie, which will deliver orders to customers playing on the fields. The service will officially start this month and will be available on golf courses in South Korea. By the end of this year, Neubility plans to put into use 200 such delivery robots. However, it can be assumed that this will not be the final number of machines delivering meals to customers on request. Samsung does not reveal how many there will be in total.

Neubility has been testing its supplier since March last year. The robot was effective in navigating autonomously over a variety of terrain, including steep inclines and narrow and curved paths. And how the machine behaves in operation, you can see the video below, shared by the manufacturer. For now, however, it is not known how much such a service will cost, but also whether it can be expected to be introduced in other countries as well. Source
