The autonomous flying taxi Wisk Aero will quickly get passengers to their destination

Wisk Aero presented the sixth generation of the flying taxi. The vehicle can take four people on board and has a speed of about 220 km / h, reaching a maximum ceiling of 1,200 m. Nobody likes to be in traffic jams, especially if you are in a hurry to an appointment or a plane. It takes more and more time to get there during rush hour, which is why many companies are working on moving people to the air. This is done by, among others, the Wisk Aero company, which has been working on a flying taxi for many years. The company has just presented the sixth generation of its flying vehicle. According to the manufacturer, it is an autonomous eVTOL vertical take-off and landing vehicle that can take four people on board. It can accelerate to a maximum speed of 220 km / h and reach a ceiling of 1,200 m. The drive provides it with 12 rotors that can change their position, while the range is about 140 km.

The manufacturer ensures that the vehicle meets the stringent aviation safety standards and can move completely independently. It is equipped with an autonomous technology that works with sensors that enable the detection and avoidance of obstacles. Of course, for the sake of security, eVTOL does not remain unattended for a moment. Autonomous technologies can still be quite unreliable, so it would not be a good idea to entrust them with human life. Therefore, the flight is constantly monitored by people who, if necessary, can take control at any time to safely bring it to the ground. Wisk Aero says it is seeking the necessary permits to legally transport passengers in the US. However, it will not be an easy task, especially for a company that is just taking its first steps in air transport. Source
