Since its world premiere, the now first season of ‘sisters to death‘ has been named “one of the best series of the year”, “a wicked, funny and really moving dramedy”, “this year’s most addictive comic gem” or in the words of one server, “both exhilarating and irresistible as it turns out.” it outlines, chapter by chapter, detail by detail”. It currently has a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes and an average rating of 8.3 on IMDb. The series revolves around the Garvey sisters, who have always been very close and have taken care of each other. When her brother-in-law dies, the life insurance company launches an investigation for malicious intent and sets its sights on the sisters, each of whom had plenty of reasons to kill him. The plot of this second season is unknown for now, being a real mystery since its now first season works as a miniseries and has an apparently well closed ending. Anne-Marie Duff, Eva Birthistle, Sarah Greene, Eve Hewson and the aforementioned Sharon Horgan play the Garvey sisters while Claes Bang plays “the asshole” whose death the entire plot revolves around. Brian Gleeson, Daryl McCormack, Assaad Bouab and newcomer Saise Quinn complete the main cast of this Merman Television and ABC Signature (part of Disney Television Studios) production for Apple Studios. ‘sisters to death‘ is based on the Belgian series ‘Clan’, created by Malin-Sarah Gozin, and is Horgan’s first project for Apple TV+ after signing a collaboration agreement through her production company, Merman Television. The series is written by Horgan alongside Brett Baer, Dave Finkel, Karen Cogan, Ailbhe Keogan, Daniel Cullen, Perrie Balthazar, and Paul Howard, with Dearbhla Walsh, Josephine Bornebusch, and Rebecca Gatward directing its ten episodes. The series joins other original Apple productions that have been renewed throughout this year such as ‘cycles’ Y ‘For all mankind’ for a fourth season, ‘Slow Horses’ for two more seasons (third and fourth), ‘physical’ for a third season, and ‘loot’, ‘Pachinko’, ‘Schmigadoon!’, ‘swagger’ and the acclaimed ‘Separation’ for a second season.
