Through Empire we get the first images of ‘Indiana Jones 5‘, fifth installment of the Lucasfilm franchise created by George Lucas and Steven Spielberg in the early 80’s with ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’. James Mangold (‘Logan’, ‘Ferrari v Ford’) replaces Spielberg as director of this, in principle, the last installment of the saga, or at least, the last one in which we will see Harrison Ford giving life to his iconic protagonist. And also, the last film that will have John Williams in charge of its soundtrack. Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Boyd Holbrook, Toby Jones, Antonio Banderas and Thomas Kretschmann complete the main cast of this film to be released exclusively in theaters on June 30, 2023, with a script written for the occasion by Jez and John-Henry Butterworth (‘Edge of Tomorrow’, ‘Nine Perfect Strangers’).
