Tommy Wirkola's ('Silent Night') shark movie starring Phoebe Dynevor ('Bridgerton') already has a release date and official title. Sony Pictures has announced that the film will be titled 'Beneath the Storm' (Beneath the Storm) and will hit theaters in the United States on August 1, 2025. Announced last May, the film began shooting in Melbourne in July. At the moment, there are no details about the plot of the film, since it has only transpired that it will be a movie about sharks. Produced by Adam McKay and Kevin Messick for HyperObject Industries, together with Dynevor, the film will star Whitney Peak and Djimon Hounsou. 'Beneath the Storm' will coincide in its release with 'The Bad Guys 2', the sequel to the Universal Pictures and Dreamworks Animation film that will also arrive on August 1, 2025. Wirkola is currently working on the sequel to the aforementioned 'Silent Night', a film that grossed more than $76 million on a budget of $20 million. Additionally, the filmmaker will release his adult animated comedy, 'Spermageddon,' in January 2025. Meanwhile, Dynevor's upcoming projects include 'Inheritance,' Neil Burger's spy film starring Rhys Ifans; and 'Anniversary,' Jan Komasa's thriller starring Diane Lane, Kyle Chandler, McKenna Grace and Dylan O'Brien.
