This is how the casting of the second season of 'One Piece' is going

Netflix has just added another member to the cast of the highly anticipated second season of 'One Piece'. This is 'Bridgerton' star Charithra Chandran, who will play Miss Wednesday in the live-action series. Miss Wednesday (also called Nefertari Vivi) is a key character in the One Piece story, known for her involvement with the Straw Hat Pirates throughout the Arabasta saga. “I'm so excited to join the cast of One Piece, and I'm incredibly grateful to Oda Sensei for trusting me with the role of Vivi. I know how much she means to all of you, and I'm going to work as hard as I can to do her justice and make you all proud,” Chandran said in a video shared by Netflix. The news comes after a week full of casting announcements, with Sendhil Ramamurthy joining the cast as the patriarch of the Nefertari family, Nefertari Cobra. Additionally, recently announced additions include Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha, Mark Harelik as Dr. Hiriluk, David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3, Daniel Lasker as Mr. 9, Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5, Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine, Werner Coetser as Dorry, Brendan Murray as Brogy, Clive Russell as Crocus, Callum Kerr as Smoker, Julia Rehwald as Tashigi, Rob Colletti as Wapol and Ty Keogh as Dalton. Based on the best-selling manga in Japanese history, 'One Piece' is a legendary high-seas adventure like no other. Monkey D. Luffy is a young adventurer who has always yearned for freedom, so he leaves his village to embark on a perilous journey in search of the mythical treasure spoken of in legend, One Piece, and to become the Pirate King. If he wants to do so, he'll have to assemble the best crew and commandeer a ship to explore every corner of the vast oceans, outrun the Marines and outwit dangerous rivals without stopping. The series' cast is led by Iñaki Godoy as Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp and Taz Skylar as Sanji. Additionally, the additional cast includes Morgan Davies as Koby, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino as Alvida, Aidan Scott as Helmeppo, Jeff Ward as Buggy, McKinley Belcher III as Arlong, Vincent Regan as Garp, Alexander Maniatis as Klahadore, Steven Ward as Mihawk, Craig Fairbrass as Chef Zeff, Langley Kirkwood as Captain Morgan, Celeste Loots as Kaya, and Chioma Umeala as Nojiko. This Netflix production is written by Steven Maeda ('The X-Files'), who also serves as showrunner and executive producer alongside Matt Owens ('Agents of SHIELD'). Meanwhile, Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements of Tomorrow Studios ('Snowpiercer') are also executive producers alongside the original's writer Eiichiro Oda. Production on 'One Piece' season 2 is currently underway.
