A new agreement will boost the presence of Spanish food companies at 14 international fairs

Published on September 17, 2024 MADRID, Sep 13 (EUROPA PRESS) – The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) and the Spanish Federation of Food and Beverage Industries (FIAB) have signed a new agreement that will facilitate the presence of Spanish exporting companies in the food sector at 14 international fairs, with the aim of positioning the Alimentos de España brand in foreign markets. The agreement, framed within the Spanish Food Strategy, has an amount of 930,000 euros, of which half will be financed by the state agency. The promotion of the Spanish agri-food sector and its international projection are at the heart of the new agreement, helping to support the already good data experienced in terms of exports and competitiveness, as assured by the Ministry. The 14 fairs are spread across 2024 and 2025. For this year, the events included are Speciality & Fine Food London (UK), ISM Middle East (Dubai), PLMA Chicago (USA) and Food Ingredients Europe in Frankfurt (Germany). And for 2025, the agreement includes Winter Fancy Food in Las Vegas (USA), Sirha Lyon (France), Supermarket Trade Show (Japan), Expo Antad, IFE London (UK), Saudi Foodshow (Saudi Arabia) Seoul Food &Hotel (South Korea), SIAL China, Tutto Food Milano (Italy) and Biofach (Germany).
