Family is everything. Trailer for 'Daddy's Head'

The trailer for 'Daddy's Head', a new supernatural horror film premiering on Shudder on October 11. Starring Julia Brown and Rupert Turnbull among others, the trailer sees a young boy who has recently lost his father see signs that his father's spirit might still be alive in some way. In the wake of his father's untimely death, a young boy is left in the eerie solitude of a sprawling rural estate with his stepmother. Struggling to cope with the overwhelming task of motherhood, his stepmother becomes estranged, putting their fragile bond at risk of falling apart. Amid the mounting tension, the boy begins to hear disturbing sounds echoing through the halls and is soon haunted by the presence of a grotesque creature that bears an eerily familiar resemblance to his late father. As the boy's warnings are dismissed as the imagination of a grieving child, the sinister entity tightens its grip on their crumbling lives. The film marks the second feature film as a director for Benjamin Barfoot, who in 2017 took charge of 'Blood Date'. Mary Woodvine, Kaisa Hammarlund, Charles Aitken, Nathaniel Martello-White and Nila Aalia complete the cast of the film produced by Matthew James Wilkinson and Patrick Tolan. Barfoot himself is the screenwriter, editor and composer of the soundtrack of this British film that had its world premiere at the Fantastic Fest on Sunday, September 22.
