Nominated for the 30th edition of the José María Forqué Awards

The José María Forqué Awards have announced the nominations for their 30th edition. The Spanish audiovisual industry awards will celebrate their 30th Anniversary gala on December 14 at the Municipal Palace – IFEMA Madrid, recognizing the most outstanding Spanish productions of the year and awarding their Gold Medal to a relevant figure in the world. of production.

LOS FORQUÉ, 30 EDITIONS OF THE INDUSTRY AWARDS

Since the first edition was held in 1996 in tribute to Jose María Forqué, historic director, producer and founder of EGEDA, the Spanish audiovisual industry awards have continued their annual gala uninterruptedly (with a double in 2021 due to the pandemic), increasing the number of award-winning categories, including new genres such as series format or animation and becoming one of the great national reference events of the seventh art. After thirty editions of celebration and recognition of the talent of producers, actors and directors, the Forqué will look back remembering some of their most iconic moments at their thirtieth gala. In it, recognition will be given to the best productions and professionals of the season, while the honorary Gold Medal will be awarded to the career of an outstanding professional in the world of audiovisual production. After the 29th edition of the Forqué Awards awarded '20,000 species of bees' with the trophy for Best Fiction Film and 'La Mesías' with the award for Best Fiction Series, the awards are already preparing to celebrate their 30 edition. EGEDA will soon announce the list of nominations, selected from among the audiovisual works released throughout the year in Spain. In the categories for Best Fiction Feature Film (endowed with 30,000 euros), Documentary Feature Film (6,000 euros), Animated Feature Film (6,000 euros), Short Film (3,000 euros) and Series (6,000 euros), the EGEDA partners will be the voters of the finalists. In the case of the awards for Best Male and Female Performance (3,000 euros each) and for Best Male and Female Series Performance (3,000 euros), a jury made up of specialized journalists will vote in the first and second voting phases and the members of the board of directors of EGEDA in the second phase of voting. The members of the PLATINO Awards committee and the FIPCA board of directors will select the candidates for the Best Latin American Feature Film (6,000 euros) and finally, the nominees for the Film and Education in Values ​​award will be chosen by EGEDA partners in the first and second phase of voting and educational centers in the first phase of voting. Once the nominated productions have been announced, a second phase of voting will begin that will last until November 29, from which the winners of the 30th edition of the Forqué Awards will emerge. EGEDA is the non-profit entity for the management of rights of audiovisual producers. It created these awards in 1996 with the aim of disseminating the importance of the Spanish audiovisual and film industry, promoting the figure of the producer and rewarding the best Spanish productions each year for their technical and artistic values. The 30th edition of the Forqué Awards is organized by EGEDA with the participation of the Madrid City Council, the Community of Madrid and RTVE, and has the collaboration of the Ministry of Culture and FIPCA as well as the support of its sponsors.
