Not everyone likes kids. But Columbia Pictures surely changed people’s opinion about not wanting kids with the release of The Boss Baby. Produced by Dreamworks Animation, The Boss Baby was released in 2017. After its major success, it received a spin-off as a hit TV series later on.
The Boss Baby tells the story of a 7-year-old Tim, who has just got a new baby brother. However, Tim gets jealous when his parents focus all their attention on the baby instead of him. But the baby is more than just a cute and innocent face. Tim finds out that the baby can talk. The two pair up to up to foil the plans of the CEO of Puppy Co.
With an IMDb rating of 6.3/10 and the Tomatometer at 53%, the film was a significant success at the Box Office. The film did a whopping business of $500M worldwide. And it is all set to get a sequel. Release Date
Tom McGrath, known for hits like Madagascar 1 2 3, Shrek, etc. will be directing the sequel as well. As per official sources, the film is currently in the first phase of filming and animation. However, the production is now halted due to the outbreak of the coronavirus. The Boss Baby 2 is scheduled to release on March 21, 2021.
What To Expect From The Sequel?
In the prequel, we saw Tim’s character from a jealous big brother to an extremely caring one. Tim and the Boss Baby teamed up in the first part to take down Puppy and Co. The film was a significant success and did great business at the Box Office. It was appreciated by both audience and critics alike.
The Boss baby defeated Francis and was again able to enter the Templeton family. The second instalment is expected to pick up after the events of the first. However, the crew and the cast member are tightly lipped regarding the plot details for the sequel although it will undoubtedly be nothing short on adventure and comedy.
