A surprise was the store in for the fans as The Expanse has now been renewed for a season 5 after cancellation by Amazon Prime Video. The fifth season of this Sci-fi show was renewed even before the fourth season premiered.
Directed by Breck Eisner this series is likely to stand in 2020 as the production of season 5 ended in February 2020. So, the best part and a moment of celebration for fans are that the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic has not affected its shooting or its release date too.

Cast
The cast includes Steven Strait playing as current Rocinante captain Jim Holden, with Cas Anvar as Alex Kamal, the ship’s pilot. Dominique Tripper and Wes Chathan are likely to return as the technical crew members of the boat.
Also, Keon Alexander (Impulse), Nadine Nicole (casual), and Masai Chase Owens (The Deuce) are promoted as regulars for the fifth season.
