Fans have always portrayed Jason with his Season 1 stint on HBO’s Games of Thrones. And supposedly, Jason calls out his superheroic role from there.
Jason spoke in an interview, “Zack was a big fan of Games of Thrones. When I couldn’t get a job, Zack called me for the big audition and he wanted to take me as Aquaman, and to be honest, I didn’t even know whom am I going to play. When I performed the audition, it was for Batman and Ben got it. I was like, Why am I here? I thought I would be a villain who will fight with superman and batman!! But then, Zack called me and said ‘Wait, no. Aquaman!’ So, Thank you Games of Thrones.”
Jason Momoa might not be in all episodes of Games of Thrones, but it’s likely, he made enough impressions upon the fans and Zack Snyder, who picked him for Aquaman. And this signed him with DC studios for multiple film deals.
Jason was precisely auditioned for Batman as he got the perfect physique and badass masculinity for Dark Knight but Ben Affleck couldn’t be replaced. And even though, Jason was not quite sure about his role as the blonde locked Arthur Curry, his performance was remarkable and was the highlights of Justice League.
Although, Jason was not a newcomer to the entertainment world when he was cast in Games of Thrones. He first performed in the finale of Baywatch or Baywatch: Hawaii. After which, he also starred in Stargate: Atlantis as Ronon Dex in its four seasons. But, there was never finally stability in Jason’s career.
But, his fortune clicked when he was chosen for Aquaman in DC studios. As cameo came in 2016’s Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, Jason completely nailed his performance as Arthur Curry, his debut in 2017’s Justice League.
A year later, when he centered the Aquaman movie, it reached $1 billion at the worldwide box office and is still part of DC’s highest-grossing films.
And Now, Jason Momoa is counted in the Bonafide Stars of Hollywood.
