Warner Bros. presents the first official trailer for ‘The crooked lines of God‘, the long-awaited film adaptation of the acclaimed novel by Torcuato Luca de Tena published in 1979. The director Oriol Paulo, responsible for ‘El cuerpo’, ‘Contratiempo’ and ‘During the storm’, returns to the cinema after his unsuccessful foray into television with ‘The innocent’ to take charge of this project whose cast is led by Brbara Lennie and Eduard Fernndez. Lennie plays Alice Gould, a detective who is admitted to the psychiatric hospital run by Samuel Alvar, a role played by Fernndez. Alice voluntarily enters feigning a paranoid state in order to follow the leads in a murder case that occurred in the center a few months ago. In an environment of mental illness, identifying what is true and what is not is much more complicated to discern… Loreto Maulen, Javier Beltrn, Pablo Derqui, Fede Aguado and Adelfa Calvo complete the main cast of this film written by Oriol himself together with the playwright and screenwriter Guillem Clua, winner of the National Prize for Dramatic Literature in 2020.
‘The crooked lines of God’ is a Nostromo Pictures, Atresmedia Cine and Filmayer production that Warner Bros. will premiere in Spanish cinemas on October 7, very possibly after passing through the San Sebastian Festival.
