«Accidental Country Diary» from Kakao Entertainment has added a new name, it can now also be known as «Once Upon a Small Town» and is confirmed to be broadcast on Netflix outside of Korea. The story of 12 episodes of Comedy and Romance genres will premiere on September 5, for Latin America, there is no date established by Netflix. The protagonists will be played by Park Soo Young ( Joy from Red Velvet), who will play Ahn Ja-young, a rural police officer; Chu Young Woo will give life to the veterinary doctor recently arrived in the village and Baek Sung Chul, will transform into Lee Sang Hyun, a warm and good-looking boy who was born and raised in Heedong Village together with Ahn Ja Young. The direction will be in charge of Kwon Seok Jang who was behind dramas like «Bossam. Steal the Fate«, 2021; «Miss Korea«, 2013 and «Pasta«, 2010); and the script will be Baek Eun-kyung. The new drama is a romance series about a veterinarian from Seoul who meets a policewoman named Ahn Ja Young ( Joy ) while living in a rural town called Heedong. The vet, Han Ji Yool (played by Chu Young Woo ), finds life in Heedong village not easy, and her peaceful daily life is turned upside down by her nosy new neighbors. Ja Young’s close friend Lee Sang Hyun ( Baek Sung Chul ), joins the two to create an intriguing romance on the show. Ja Young is a policewoman who always shows up and helps solve issues in Heedong Town. The video also shares a glimpse of her daily life as she is seen harvesting crops and milking cows. Her love for her work is so immense that she still shows no interest in dating anyone. Busy completing her daily work tasks, she says, “I don’t have time to date anyone and I’m not interested in dating anyone yet.” Meanwhile, two boys are caught showing their interest in Ja Young. One is Ji Yool, a veterinarian from Seoul who works in the village, and the other is a young farmer named Sang Hyun who grows peach trees. The video has Ji Yool’s voice, saying, “I love her. Unlike a certain person in our city, I don’t cross the line.” Then the scene changes quickly and he is confused when Ja Young suddenly appears and shakes her milk bottle right in front of him. Meanwhile, her childhood friend Sang Hyun is seen blushing at her as he watches her pick peaches as if he fell in love with her at first sight.
