The series Taboo has been curiously absent since its deputed in January 2018. Though we are confirmed that the series will have a second series on March 2017, we are not sure when the season would start.
While we still do not know much about the date of release of the new season, the executive producer Steven Knights opened us the way for some potential plot details. There will be an eight-season second episode.
When will the second season air?
Currently, there are no such official announcements nor are there any rumours by the fans. The most information we could find was of Knight telling Den of Geek in May 2017 that he is working very hard for season 2.
He admitted that he has just started doing it now, that he is trying his hardest to complete the writing part as soon as possible. This could tell us that he had just started writing the script in 2017. Any usual show requires at least one year or possibly more on writing the script and finalising it.
In the same interview, he told us to wait a while, as the earliest we could expect the show to air would be in the latter part of 2018. When 2018 arrived, the filming had not yet begun; we can look forward to seeing the show’s first appearances in June 2020.
The cast of Taboo season 2
We still don’t know when it will air but, there are few things we can tell you about the cast of the new season.
In November, famous lead actor Tom Hardy officially announced that he is sure to be seen in the second season. The Venom star said in a statement that they are grateful and excited to continue their relationship with the BBC and FX in contributing towards the British Drama. Stay connected for upcoming updates.
