Is it animated?

Yes, it is animated. An interesting thing is that Jennifer Yuh Nelson has joined the directing team for Volume 2 of LDR who is well known for a hit Kung Fu Panda 3, so the animation is expected to be top-notch. With a woman on board, some controversies that the show experienced are expected to be corrected for this season.

The co-creator Tim Miller once said, “Midnight movies, comics, books and magazines of fantastic fiction have inspired me for decades, but they were relegated to the fringe culture of geeks and nerds of which I was a part. I’m so f***ing excited that the creative landscape has finally changed enough for adult-themed animation to become part of a larger cultural conversation.” Looking at how passionate Miller is about this project, this season sure won’t be a setback.
