Marvel Studios has another great gift for you this year and it’s going to be an early Christmas for all of us. The Eternals is the next big hit you should be anticipating.
Plot
The Eternals are an immortal alien race created by the Celestials to protect humanity from the Deviants, described as “hideous” monsters who have “genetic instabilities”. Not much is known about the exact plot of the movie, but apparently the story may start as early as 7000 BC.
Director Chloé Zhao told fans at Comic-Con more about the film saying: “It’s about this group of incredible immortals but through their journey, we get to explore what it means to be human. And humanity. And our time on this planet.”
Cast
After numerous rumors of stars being in talks for roles in the movie, the official announcement confirmed who is actually in it and the rumors were pretty accurate.
Here’s how the cast is shaping up:
Angelina Jolie as Thena
Richard Madden as Ikaris
Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo
Salma Hayek as Ajak
Lauren Ridloff as Makkari
Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos
Lia McHugh as Sprite
Don Lee as Gilgamesh
Barry Keoghan as Druig
Gemma Chan as Sersi
Kit Harington as the Black Knight a.k.a Dane Whitman
Angelina Jolie As Thena
Angelina Jolie is taking on the role of Thena. As per sources, the actress might have a drastic change of hair color in the movie. She was spotted filming a scene in which she wades out into a lake.
Speaking of Thena, many believe she is to spread the ashes of, well, someone dead. As per conjecture, the ashes are Thena’s father’s, Zuras’. If so, the moment will likely be a mood setter and act as an integral part of the storytelling process which shows us how Thena ends up in charge of the Eternals.
Release Date
The official release date for Eternals is November 6, 2020. Mark your calendars. There’s ten months to go till this wonder is released on the screens, which means there will be plenty of updates, teasers, and trailers to look out for in the meantime.
