About Lupin
Due to the popularity of the show on Netflix, it’s hard not to know what Lupin is but we will give you a refresher. The show blowing up was a surprise because it was French and didn’t expect to reach a global audience. However, Lupin has proved its worth and now we are all chanting for Lupin Season 2.
Lupin is a mystery with a ton of humour driving its plot. Such a show is needed in a year after 2020 so we are hoping we get a Lupin season 2.
In the story, we see the orphan Assane Diop – an immigrant from Senegal who is planning out his revenge. Years ago his father was framed for a robbery by a rich family headed by Hubert Pellegrini. As his father was poor and immigrant he was the perfect scapegoat for the theft of an expensive diamond necklace. While Pellegrini dooms Assane’s father to a fate he can’t escape, his father kills himself in despair.
Due to this, Assane grows up plotting the perfect revenge against the Pellegrini’s and adopts the name Lupin. The show sees Lupin’s schemes to bring down the Pellegrini’s. with the story only halfway over in season 1, we can’t wait for Lupin season 2!
Lupin Season 2 Cast
The show has a stellar cast, mostly French, who are all newcomers and gaining fame through Netflix. Some of the main characters we saw in season 1 and will be seeing in Lupin season 2 are below:
Omar Sy – He plays our main character, Assane Diop, aka Arsene Lupin. He is a mastermind thief and criminal out to get his way
Herve Pierre – This is the main villain – Herbert Pellegrini who Lupin seeks revenge against
Ludivine Sagnier – She plays lupin’s romantic interest and his rock. She helps him throughout the process of the show.
Lupin Season 2 Release Date
The good news is that Lupin season 2 will definitely be coming our way. While season 1 had 5 episodes, the show was envisioned with 10 episodes in mind. Thus the next five episodes will be coming season 2.
However, while the next five episodes have been shot already, there is no release date yet. Well, let’s keep hoping we get to watch Lupin season 2 in 2021!
