Recap
Lucifer Morningstar the infamous ruler of Hell, who was banished from heaven, decides to leave hell and becomes a nightclub Owner in Los Angeles, California along with Mazikeen, a demon.
Upon helping Homicide Detective Chloe Decker from LAPD in the murder case of one of his acquaintances he felt that in this way he can punish sinners. So he joins her as her consultant.
The Church’s Father Kinley has a prophecy that Lucifer will bring an end to the earth which somehow seemed to come true when demons break out of hell to wreak havoc on Earth. Lucifer returns to hell to keep in check the demons’ actions but before that, she confessed her feelings for Lucifer.
Major Twist
Michael, Lucifer’s twin brother showed up on earth forcing Lucifer to return after thousands of years(Hell time). Chloe found that she was a gift by God to manipulate Lucifer and feels her existence is not worth anything else. Later she and Lucifer get over it and become a couple.
She was kidnapped by Michael and when Lucifer saves her he confesses too. He and Amanadiel Fight with Michael and Mazikeen, who sided with Michael to help her return to hell. This fight came to a halt when God showed up.
In the Previous season, God declares he is going to retire and then disappears leaving it upon his children to decide new God. Meanwhile, Dan was killed by a Hitman working for Michael. A furious Lucifer confronts Michael and in the showdown between Michael and Lucifer, Michael kills Chloe. But Lucifer sacrifices himself to bring her back from heaven. As a result of his selfless action, he is resurrected as the New God.

What To Expect – Lucifer Season 6
With Lucifer becoming the Almighty God expectation are quite how for the final season of the show.
In the teaser, we saw Lucifer in front of a DeLorean which according to some fans indicates a Time-travel that might happen in the final season.
Co-showrunner has already told that Dan would be returning for the final season but it’s still unclear how and in which form – whether he will be appearing in flashbacks or Lucifer saves him by Time Travel or He appeared just as a spirit.
