On December 21, the most intrepid and iconic feline swordsman in history returns to theaters: Puss in Boots. After more than a decade, DreamWorks Animation returns to present a new adventure from the “Shrek universe”, ‘Puss in Boots: The Last Wish‘, in which the fearless outlaw Puss in Boots discovers that a passion for danger and a disregard for safety come at a price. Gato has already spent eight of his nine lives, and to get them back he will have to embark on the greatest adventure he has ever lived so far. Antonio Banderas once again lends his voice both in Spanish and in English to the famous cat, who will embark on an epic journey through the Black Forest in search of the mythical Star of Desire in order to recover his lost lives. Also, with only one left, he will have no choice but to drink from the cup of humility and ask for help from his old partner and nemesis, the captivating Kitty Fluffy Paws (Salma Hayek). In their search, and much to their regret, Gato and Kitty will have the company of a ragged and eternally optimistic mutt who never stops talking, named Perro (Harvey Guillán). The three heroes must manage to always stay ahead of Goldilocks (Florence Pugh), “The Great” Jack Horner (John Mulaney) and the terrifying bounty hunter The Big Bad Wolf (Wagner Moura). Olivia Colman, Ray Winstone, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Anthony Mendez and Samson Kayo complete the vocal cast of this film distributed by Universal Pictures directed by Joel Crawford (‘The Croods: A New Era’) and Januel Mercado from a script by Paul Fisher. For his part, the executive producer of ‘Puss in Boots: The Last Wish‘ is Chris Meledandri, founder and executive director of that Illumination that in just over two weeks, on July 1, will premiere in theaters both in Spain and the United States ‘Minions: The Origin of Gru‘, sequel to ‘The Minions’ of which in recent days a new trailer has also been released that you can see here. It is not the only animated film to be released in theaters in our country this summer that has recently presented a new trailer. This past week Paramount Pictures has also unveiled new trailers for ‘A Samurai Hero: The Legend of Hank‘, a film to be released on August 5 in which Carlos Latre will lend his voice to the character of the evil Ika Chu, played in the English version by Ricky Gervais; and of ‘Tadeo Jones 3. The Emerald Tablet‘, the third installment of the franchise directed by Enrique Gato that will be released on August 26. You can see these last two trailers here and here.
