Julius Onah will direct the fourth installment of ‘Captain America’

Julius Onah, responsible for ‘The Cloverfield Paradox’ and the indie in Spain ‘Luce’, is according to THR the one chosen by Marvel Studios to take over the direction of the fourth installment of ‘Captain America’. It will be the first film in which Anthony Mackie will take center stage as the new “Cap” of the MCU, replacing Chris Evans, as some were encouraged to see in the Disney + series, ‘Falcon and the Winter Soldier’. Precisely the creator and in theory the maximum creative person in charge of that, Malcolm Spellman, will be in charge of signing the script of the film together with the also scriptwriter of said series Dalan Musson. According to the aforementioned medium, a date has not yet been set (or has not transpired) for the start of its production, much less for its premiere, but already having a director in the know, it would be rare for its filming to take longer than 2023 For the past year Onah is supposed to have been busy developing a Ukranian television series, ‘The American Throne’, which is set in an alternate North America in which the nation was founded as a monarchy rather than a democracy. Set in the present day, the series would chronicle how this all-white royal family is thrust into a succession battle when it is revealed that the late king has kept a secret: A black son who is the true heir to the throne. It is assumed, because it is unknown in what state this project is currently located, which was announced now more or less a year ago and that, as was said at the time, it was going to have the support of Sam Esmail (creator of ‘Mr. Robot ‘), Chad Hamilton, Esmail Corp and UCP.
