Dilip Kumar-Big B’s ‘Shakti’ To Be Recalled With New Script

If we search for old and Gold Bollywood movies, the list may start with Amitabh and end with him also. From 1969 his journey started and goes on till now. But there was only one movie where Big B shared the screen with Dilip Kumar in the year 1982. The memorable movie was Shakti, directed by Ramesh Sippy. Now it is chosen by Shree Narayan Singh to remake.

Shakti was a movie that went around the father-son relationship. Dilip Kumar played the role of DCP Ashwini Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan acted as Vijay Kumar in the action crime drama. The duo took the film on a high that it got four awards consisting of Best Film, Best Actor, Best Editing, and Best Screenplay categories. The Best Actor award went to Dilip Kumar.

It was heard that the film was chosen to remake about 10 years ago. Then it was decided that Amitabh Bachchan’s son Abhishek Bachchan will step into his dad’s (Big B) shoes. But somehow the project was abandoned. Now the scenario is changed. After 38 years the movie is set to get a remake with director Shree Narayan Singh Who is known for ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’.

He told that the work on the film began two years ago. Anjum Rajabali and Saumya Joshi are writing the script. Singh told, “It’s a giant duty, which is why we are making the most of the time in order to decide the screenplay, even though ours is more of a new version than a remake.” By next year (2021), the much-awaited film will be on the floors, confirmed by the director.

The fans of yesteryear stars are really excited about the same and they have crossed the fingers for a new project. It is also a proud moment for Big B and Dilip Kumar as well. Let’s see, how it will prove to big magic again on the big screen.
