Our very own 007, Daniel Craig is one of the biggest action heroes the world has seen. Whether his act in ‘James Bond’ or his adventures in ‘Knives Out’, he never fails to amaze the audience.
The 2019 American mystery thriller Knives Out had an absolute stunning cast with Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis, Ana de Admas, Katherine Langford etc. A whole modern unit was a block buster, written and directed by Rian Johnson.
The movie received nominations for best actress and actor for Admas and Craig respectively. The American film institute categorised it as one of the biggest hits of 2019.
KNIVES OUT 2 IN 2020?
Almost nothing can beat the designer aesthetic mansion of Johnson’s set. Knives out had an plot and cast, but this time the 2021 sequel maybe a complete spinoff. Rian Johnson mentions in his interviews that knives out 2 would have a completely different plot and ‘A WHOLE NEW CAST’ alongside new warm locations that would match the plot.
When asked about his character as Benoit Blanc and whether he would be upfront about his role in the sequel, Craig said, “Sure. I’d be over the moon. I mean, I’d do anything for Rian. If he writes something, I’ll do it. Of course I will. Why wouldn’t I?”.
Well in a recent interview Johnson asks the viewers to not look at Knives Out 2 as some sequel with similar storyline but rather speaks of it as ‘Adeventures of Benoit Blanc’.
EXPECTATIONS WITH KNIVES OUT 2- CAST, PLOT & MORE
A crime thriller focussing on Detective Blanc, Knives out was a super hit. Despite the police believing the death as ‘suicide’ , our very own Craig had a different eye! Knives Out was premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7, 2019. Not a surprise the Craig and Evans blockbuster grossed about a worldwide total of $309.2 million.
For now it is too early to say when the movie will make its coming on the screen as it can be anywhere from 2021 to 2022 but it was announced earlier in February 2020. For now we know that Lionsgate gave it a massive green flag.
In a recent development, Johnson said, “I would love to. We’ll see how this one does, you know. But if this movie does alright, if I can get together with Daniel every few years and do a new Benoit Blanc mystery? New location, new cast, new mystery.”
Now for our viewers it is a long wait but what matters is that the new movie will be worth it!
