A Discovery of Witches Season 2 is all set to hit the screen
The Sky One’s Original show A Discovery of Witches based on Deborah Harkness’s All Souls trilogy, Shadow of Night is all set to hit the screens with its second installment i.e. Season 2. The third season will be based on The Book of Life.
On November 2nd, 2018, season 2nd and 3rd were announced. However, no official releasing date of the 2nd season is yet announced but the assumption is being made that it will be releasing in July 2020.
Diana Bishop who played the role of Teresa Palmer stated that the shooting started in July last year as she was expecting a baby. It was reported earlier that filming has already started at Gloucestershire Live and the release date is closing in.
Harkness states, “There is so much to look forward to as we travel into Matthew’s past and delve further into the mysteries surrounding Diana’s power and Ashmole 782.”
The show’s protagonist will be Diana Bishop and Matthew Clairmont like the first season. The Good Wife’s as Matthew Goode will remain the same as the earlier character. In a recent interview, Matthew Goode said that his part is the said his character is the soul of the season.
The first look of the second season shows Matthew (Matthew Goode, Downton Abbey) and Diana (Teresa Palmer, Hacksaw Ridge) on the streets of Elizabethan, London, where they are hiding in time for Congregation.
Tom Hughes has also joined the team as Kit Marlowe, a poet, and translator of the Elizabethan Era.
The show will be premiered on SKY one and NOW TV by 2020.
